People for Animals is a registered trust; membership payments are eligible for exemption under Section 80G. Members outside India pay the same and receive no kit: the postage is better spent on animals in India.

Colony caregiver

The card.

Feeding community dogs is lawful. The ABC Rules 2023 recognise caregivers, and the courts have held that a resident association cannot stop it.

The card is a document you can show when that is disputed. It is not a permit, and it does not give PFA any authority over your colony: it records that PFA knows who you are and what you do.

The card is not issued on the spot. The fifty rupees confirms the application and gives it a number you can track it with. It is not payment for a card: a named person at PFA reads every application and decides. If it is not approved, the fee is not refunded, because it pays for the reading rather than the card.
