An animal being hurt? Call 112 first, then tell us here

Our work

Report cruelty.

If it is happening right now

  1. Danger to the animal or to youCall the police on 112. Cruelty to animals is a cognizable offence under BNS Section 325 read with Section 11 of the PCA Act, and the officer is obliged to register it.
  2. The animal is injuredGet it to a vet/call up a shelter nearest to you or a PFA unit first, then come back and file this.
  3. You can do it safelyTake photographs or a short video, note the place and the time, and the name or vehicle number of anyone involved. That is what turns a complaint into a case.

Everything you send is private to PFA. Photographs are stored beside the report and shown only to the person handling it.

Want to file with the police yourself? Which sections to name at the counter, and what to do if the FIR is refused.

They are shrunk on your phone before sending, so a slow connection is fine.
