Where it began

In 1980, Mrs Ruth Cowell of New South Wales, Australia, left a legacy to Shri Sanjay Gandhi for the care of animals. It built the Sanjay Gandhi Animal Care Centre, which still cares for thousands of animals.

Ways a will can remember them
  • A share of what you leave, after your family.
  • A sum of money.
  • Property or another asset.
  • A gift in memory of someone.
  • A place named after you, where the gift does its work.
How a will works
  1. List what you own.
  2. Decide who receives what.
  3. Sign before two witnesses.
  4. Keep it safe, and review it now and then.
Is this legal advice?

No. A lawyer will tell you what applies to you. Ask PFA to confirm its name and details before you sign.
